How is this different from Etsy?
On Etsy you rent a shelf in someone else's store, pay a cut of every sale, and the customer belongs to Etsy. The Maker Store is YOUR store on YOUR domain — you keep the customer list, the email addresses, and the brand. We charge a flat $12/mo, not a slice of each order.
Why only 50 products?
Because the makers this is built for are selling a focused line, not a catalog. The 50-product cap keeps the store fast, keeps setup affordable, and keeps you from drowning in admin. If you outgrow it, that is exactly when the upgrade path kicks in.
Can I change the design?
You pick a palette and we set it up cleanly on a proven template layout. There is no open-ended design-by-committee — that is what keeps the price this low. Want a fully custom look? That is the upgrade to a full site.
What does the $12/mo cover?
Fast, secure hosting on Cloudflare's edge, SSL, your domain pointed and renewed, and the store staying online. No surprise fees, no per-sale skim. Payment processor fees (Stripe) are the only per-sale cost, and those go to the processor, not to us.
What is NOT included?
No SEO retainer, no paid ads management, and no custom design work at this tier. This is a clean, fast little store — not a marketing engine. If you want ongoing visibility, ads, or a bespoke build, those are separate services (and a natural next step).
What if I grow out of it?
Two upgrade paths: hand it to us to manage (we run the store, add products, handle changes), or scale up into a full custom site with Local Visibility and a separate hosting plan. Either way you keep your domain and your customers — nothing to migrate off a marketplace.
